                     Meet Sarah Jane!

Sarah Jane is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (TX 101461), under the supervision of Sarah Rees, LPC-S (TX 72697). She works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges. She especially loves working with children and teens, while also feeling deeply called to support adults who are ready to heal from childhood wounds so they can show up more fully in their lives and relationships with greater presence, authenticity, and a deeper sense of self. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Texas A&M University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University.

Whether you feel overwhelmed by your emotions, stuck in patterns you cannot seem to shift, or impacted by relationships that have left you feeling hurt or disconnected, it can be hard to find a space where you feel safe enough to fully be yourself. Sarah Jane strives to offer that space, one where you do not have to filter, perform, or have it all figured out. Together, we can begin to explore what has shaped you, what has helped you cope, and what new possibilities might begin to emerge.

Her approach is relational and experiential, rooted in somatic and nervous system-based work and grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, both within ourselves and with others. Sarah Jane is trained in EMDR, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention. She integrates EMDR and parts-informed work to support clients in moving beyond simply talking about their experiences and into deeper processing. Sessions often include slowing down, noticing what is happening in the body, and gently practicing new ways of responding, relating, and showing up in ways that feel more aligned and true to you.

She is especially passionate about supporting families navigating parent-child relationship challenges, blended family dynamics, co-parenting, and works with parents who want to better understand their children, strengthen communication, and build greater connection within their families. Many of the families she works with are navigating the day-to-day realities of parenting, including big emotions, anxiety, shutdown or withdrawal, power struggles, screen-time challenges, school-related difficulties, and feeling stuck or unsure about how best to show up for their child. With children and teens, Sarah Jane incorporates play and creativity to help them express themselves and feel safe in their world. With adults, she offers a space for deeper trauma work, helping clients reconnect with younger parts of themselves, nurture their inner child, and gently restore a sense of vitality, playfulness, and aliveness that may have been lost along the way.

In your work together, Sarah Jane invites curiosity toward your story, your nervous system, and the ways you have learned to cope and survive. Together, you will explore which patterns are helping you move toward the life you want and which may have once protected you but are no longer serving you. Her goal is to help clients feel more grounded, more connected to themselves, and more able to show up fully in their lives and relationships.
