                     Meet Destinie!                         

One day or day one? You decide! I am so glad you are here because life is not meant to walk alone. Destinie brings a wealth of experience and passion for helping children and adolescents navigate their emotional challenges through the transformative power of play and art therapy. This allows young clients to express themselves, explore their feelings, and develop coping skills in a developmentally appropriate manner. In addition, Destinie feels strongly about supporting parents through parent education, empathy, active listening, and showing compassion to meet you where you are. She is deeply committed to supporting the emotional well-being and resilience of young clients and their families, guiding them on a journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Destinie Myers is a Licensed Master Social Worker (TX #108162) in the state of Texas under the supervision of Dr. Brandi Felderhoff, LCSW-S, APHSW-C (TX #53149). Destinie earned her master’s degree in social work from The University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.

As an LMSW with a specialty in child/adolescents as well as a licensed child care administrator, Destinie brings significant experience working with children and teens. She has served as a program director for a children’s residential program. In addition, she has worked in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs for children/teens as well as a hospital setting with a focus on pediatric oncology.

At Spero, Destinie primarily works with children and teens, where she enjoys incorporating play and art modalities. Some areas of expertise are behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship issues.
