Meet Heather!
Welcome brave one. I’m so glad you’re here. I am committed to creating an environment of hope and safety and I would be honored to journey with you as you find healing from your past, freedom in your present, and joy for your future.
If you’re considering counseling, it’s likely that you’re feeling like no one understands you. I imagine you might not even understand what you are thinking and feeling all the time either! I strive to build an environment of safety, trust, and empathy so we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and needs. Through these discussions, I will help you feel understood, grow in your own understanding of your struggle, identify themes and patterns of thoughts and behaviors, and develop greater emotional awareness.
I wholeheartedly believe that people possess the ability to grow and change and counseling is an excellent place to work towards lasting growth. I see counseling as a collaborative effort where you and I will work together to establish goals and find resolution as I provide helpful resources while offering encouragement, insight, education, empathy, and hope along the way.
