Meet Jaris!

Jaris’ relational approach, respect for individual client needs, and research-based interventions guide her focus in helping individuals and couples find creative solutions to challenging problems. She also appreciates a dash of humor in the therapeutic space!

Jaris (pronounced like Paris with a J) is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Psychology from Texas Tech University. Her specialties include adult and adolescent counseling, attachment and family of origin work, and women’s emotional health concerns including grief, life transitions, fertility challenges and post-partum wellness. She especially enjoys working with couples and uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy in her relationship work.

A native to north Texas, Jaris has worked in several community settings including a college counseling center, adult and senior care facility, outpatient mental health clinic, and local Dallas hospital. Her work with a veteran’s treatment court within the judicial system has provided her with knowledge regarding the complexities of treating PTSD and co-occurring concerns.
