                     Meet Angie!

Angie Castro holds dual Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, bringing a strong foundation of academic training and real-world experience to her practice. With over six years as an elementary school counselor and a background as a middle school teacher and girls’ athletics coach, Angie has dedicated her career to supporting the emotional and developmental needs of children and adolescents. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (TX#100165) in the State of Texas under the supervision of Dr. Cassie Hubble, LPC-S (TX 64558).

Angie has extensive experience working with children from Pre-K through 5th grade, helping them manage challenges related to anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and social-emotional development. Her calm, compassionate approach helps young clients feel safe and understood, creating the foundation for meaningful growth.

Prior to her work in elementary counseling, Angie spent several years teaching and coaching at the middle school level. This experience gave her unique insight into the complex world of tweens and early teens, especially the impact of academic pressure, social challenges, and sports-related stress. Her coaching background also gives her a strong understanding of the mental and emotional demands faced by student-athletes, including performance anxiety, burnout, and body image.

Angie takes a collaborative approach to counseling, often working closely with parents and caregivers to support the whole family system. She believes that when children and teens feel truly heard and supported, they can develop the resilience, emotional regulation, and confidence needed to thrive.
